RAWALPINDI: A clash between two groups triggered stampede in a Muharram procession before law enforcers intervened and brought the situation under control but only after one of their man got beaten by one of the groups.
According to reports, the clash erupted as a Muharram procession reached Fawara Chowk of the garrison city.
Though situation still remains tense in the area, the mourners taking part in the procession proceeded towards their destination. A policeman was harshly beaten by some of provoked people.
