Islamabad: The Federal Cabinet has formed a special committee for the return of Afghan refugees while the Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif has made it clear that his party will not support any effort aimed at weakening the Azad Kashmir Government, ARY News reported on Thursday.
According to details, Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif chaired the meeting of the Federal Cabinet in Islamabad. During the meeting a four member committee was formed for the return of Afghan refugees which will be headed by Federal Minister General (R) Abdul Qadir Baloch. The Cabinet also approved the import of LNG from Qatar and also to increase the quota of provincial government employees in the Federal services.
The Cabinet endorsed the economic cooperation treaty between Pakistan and China. During the meeting, Federal Ministers also held a detailed discussion on the overall law and order situation in the country and the matters related to the upcoming presidential elections.
PM Nawaz Sharif also briefed the Cabinet members about his visit to China. He made it clear that his party will not be part of any conspiracy which will weaken the Azad Kashmir Government nor will it support the no-confidence move against the PM Azad Kashmir.
The Cabinet also signed the treaty between Pakistan and Poland to cooperate in the energy sector and the natural resources. Members of the Cabinet also approved to amend the Federal Employees Benevolent Fund and the Group Insurance Act 1969. According to the amendment, the restriction of 70 years of age of the family member of an employee is being discarded.
