LG polls not possible this year, ECP decides to tell SC

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has decided to apprise the Supreme Court of Pakistan that holding the local bodies elections in the current year is not possible,

According to the sources, the ECP has decided to inform the apex court about not holding the local bodies election this year as the provincial governments have not yet provided them with the rules and new delimitation of constituencies.

Therefore, it is not possible for the ECP to hold the local bodies polls, sources told.
