LB demarcations: LHC calls for replies from Punjab govt, EC

LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday called for the replies from the Punjab government and Election Commission (EC), while hearing the case against the demarcations of the Local Bodies constituencies,

The lawyer of the petitioner has made a plea before the court that the government was demarcating the constituencies for Local Bodies elections at the behest of the assembly members and prayed for passing an order by the court to EC to supervise the demarcation process.

Thereby, the court called for replies from the provincial government and Election Commission.
