Police initiates drive against illegal vehicles in Karachi

KARACHI: A drive against illegal vehicles is underway in the city and is being carried out by the traffic police with assistance from the excise department, anti-car lifting cell and other departments.
During the drive all private and government vehicles in the city will be checked for the following:

1.Registration with Excise &Taxation Department and payment of taxes.

2.The use of AFR, fancy, personalised or foreign plates. Only standard number plates used by E&T department should be used.

3.Fully readable number plates, not covered by plaques for shields.

4.Tinted or dark windows are not permitted.

5.Display of weapons (licensed or otherwise is not permitted)

6.Registration book and driving license must be carried in the vehicle at all times.
