PAT rally against price-hike today


LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) is all set for bringing out a rally against price-hike, unemployment, corruption and grave law and order in the country on Sunday here, Geo News reported.

The rally starting from Nasir Bagh will march up to Faisal Chowk in front of the Punjab Assembly, according to the organizers of the rally.

Sources said that the PAT activists in groups have started arriving Nasir Bagh since morning, while the motorcades carrying large number of men, women, young and old are on their ways from different cities to join the rally.

These activists and supporters are seen holding the Pakistan banner as well as that of the PAT and voicing slogans against price-hike and disorder in the country. Educative pamphlets are also being distributed among the general public inviting their co-operation and support for making this rally a big success.

PAT Federal Council president Hussain Mohiuddin Qadri will be leading the Lahore rally.

Heavy contingents of police have been deployed at Nasir Bagh, Chowk Anarkali, High Court Chowk, Regal Chowk and Charing Cross Chowk.

Large screens have been installed at the Regal Chowk facilitating the people to listen to the video-link address of PAT chief Allama Tahirul Qadri to the rally.
