LAHORE: A miscellaneous petition has been filed in the Supreme Court Lahore Registry on Wednesday here praying the court to order for the immediate construction of Kalabagh Dam, Geo News reported.
Barrister Zafrullah, the petitioner made a plea if the Kalabagh Dam not constructed, then Pakistan would be deprived of water and electricity. All those opposing the construction of KBD should be tried for treason, a direction be issued to the government to make new Indus Water Treaty (IWT), as existing IWT was not in the interest of Pakistan, the petitioner prayed.
