KARACHI: Sindh Education Minister Nisar Ahmed Khuhro has announced to extend winter vacations for schools and colleges as cold wave continues to grip the city.
Earlier, the Private Schools Management had appealed to the government to extend the vacations as students were falling sick due to cold weather.
Taking notice of the news, the minister announced to extend the vacations from January 2 to January 8.
According to the new schedule, the schools and colleges would now reopen on January 9.
