78 pleas filed against limitations in Burewala

BUREWALA: As many as 78 applications have been filed against the proposed limitations for the local bodies’ polls in the assistant commissioner office here on Saturday.

Assistant Commissioner Saifullah Sajid told The News that 78 objections were against 13 urban and 65 rural limitations while 65 objections had been filed against nine urban and 56 rural limitations in Vehari. He said that 85 objections, including three urban and 82 rural limitations, had been filed in Mailsi. He said that the Vehari DCO would hear the objections against limitations in Burewala, Vehari and Mailsi on October 21 and 22. He said that a report would be sent to the Multan commissioner on November 3, while a notification regarding new limitations would be issued on November 4.

YOUTH KILLED ON ROAD: A youth was killed while three others seriously injured in a collision between two motorcycles at Chak 505/EB.

Muhammad Afzal of Chak 128/EB with his friend was going to Burewala on his motorcycle when another motorcycle from the opposite direction hit him. As a result, Afzal, Muhammad Hussnain and Hafiz Muhammad Naeem were injured and taken to THQ Hospital.
