Eid Milad preparations taking final shape in Dallas



DALLAS: The preparations for celebration of Eid e Milad un Nabbi (PBUH) in Dallas is taking final shape.

The special Milad parade is being organized for which organizers from Madina masjid Allama Babar Rahmani, Shoeib Khan, Mushtaque Habib, Basheer Nautanwala and Dr. Zaki met with Muslim Democratic Caucus Co-Chair Syed Fayyaz Hassan and extended invitation to the parade.

Syed Fayyaz Hassan on this occasion assured them of his complete support and requested the host committee to honor his group to be among hosts rather than as a guest for all the participants.

He extended his help in bringing local elected and political officials on this event, to raise awareness among locals on the importance of this day. He praised the Milad preparation committee's hard work and appreciated the efforts of including individuals from all walks of life for the parade.

Mr. Hassan expressed his confidence on record level of participation in parade in view of the sincere efforts of the parade committee. Milad committee also presented a special invitation for the parade to renowned journalist Raja Zahid Khanzada.

The Eid Milad un Nabi (PBUH), will be held on Sunday 19th January, in Dallas downtown where devotees of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) will be chanting praise and hymn and will express their love for the most exalted among all prophets, Muhammad (PBUH).

The parade will start at 3PM and will conclude at 3AM where special prayers will be offered. The world acclaimed scholar of Islam and leader of Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat Dr. Jamil Rathore will present the key note address at the occasion where local civic and political leaders of Dallas Fort Worth will also be making presentations.

The parade organizers includes local mosques of Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat, Madina Masjid of Carrolton, Mecca Masjid of Garland, Brakat ul Quran Masjid in Irving, Zia ul Quran Masjid of Arlington, while civic and community organizations, American Muslim Democratic Caucus, Pakistan American Association of Texas, Memon Association of North Texas, are also sponsoring this parade.

Parade will be held on Sunday 19th of January at Dallas City Hall 1500 Marvel Street Dallas TX 75201, from 11AM to 3PM.
