Couple sues American state

LOUISVILLE, Kentucky: A Kentucky couple is suing the state seeking to force it to issue same-sex marriage licenses. The lawsuit was filed on Friday in US District Court in Louisville.

It comes just two days after a federal judge mandated that the state recognize same-sex marriages from other states and countries, and a day after a judge in neighboring Virginia overturned a voter-approved same-sex marriage ban.
