KARACHI: An uncle of groom was shot dead and bride along with a child injured in some unknown armed attackers’ firing at wedding-car in Baghdadi area of Karachi on Sunday night,
Four motor bikes riding armed attackers opened fire at car of the bride and groom on Sunday night when they were heading towards home with other relatives after end of the marriage ceremony, told the police.
Uncle of the groom, sitting at front seat of the car, died on the spot while the bride and one four-year old child, Muzzamil, sustained bullet wounds in the firing, added the police.
The SSP of City, Faisal Bashir Memon, told after initial probe into the incident that this attack was linked to some personal enmity and the bride and groom were real targets of the attackers.
Body of the killed uncle of groom, injured bride, and child were immediately rushed to Civil Hospital for medical assistance.
The doctors of Civil Hospital declared the bride out of danger, after rendering emergency medical assistance to her.
