TTP denies issuing any edict against media
PESHAWAR: The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has expressed ignorance having issued any edict against certain broadcasting organisations of the western media.
However the TTP said certain western organisations broadcasting ‘vulgarity’ are on their hit list.
The central spokesman
of the TTP Shahidullah Shahid while talking to this scribe
on telephone from an undisclosed location said certain American and British broadcasting organisations are
not only disseminating vulgar programmes regularly but
also involved in negative propaganda against the mujahideen.
As such these institutions are permanently on top of our hit list.
However, no edict has been issued by TTP in this regard.
Refusing to admit the Pakistan Constitution, Shahidullah Shahid said secular system prevails in the country and therefore we refuse to honour its Constitution.
He categorically said the TTP was not involved in attack on the residence of Asrarullah Gandapure.
Shahidullah Shahid declared that the government would have to accept the demands of the Taliban if it was serious in peace talks.
