One killed, six injured in fresh Lyari clashes


KARACHI: A man was killed while six others including two young sisters were injured in crossfire between two rival gang war groups Saturday morning in Lyari area of Karachi,

According to police, Aziz Jan Baloch and Noor Muhammad alias Baba Ladla groups clashed again today in order to gain control of Lyari areas including Kalr, Ahmed Shah Bukhari road, Eido Lane, Phol Pattti Lane, Rangiwara, Panjgori and other adjoining areas.

Firing and grenade attacks continued throughout the night while firing continued until today morning, elevating tension in the area.

Sources from Civil Hospital told that a body and six injured were brought to the hospital. The identity of the victim could not be ascertained while the injured included Amna Yusuf 10, her sister Amina Yusuf aged 6, Hamza, Fahim, Sabir and 70-year-old Qasim.

Moreover, two policemen were also injured in firing that took place in Kharadar area.
