Pakistan to get $550m after IMF review meeting on Dec. 19
WASHINGTON: International Monetary Fund (IMF) first quarter review meeting on Pakistan’s loan programme will be held on December 19 for the release of $550 million to Pakistan after the staff-level approval of agreement with the officials,
IMF said that Pakistan ‘s foreign exchange reserves, which were up to the IMF parameter in September 2013 dwindling fast since then, while Pakistan was also required to meet IMF foreign exchange reserves relaxation for the release of fresh installment of loan.
IMF Director for communication, Gary Rice said that the first quarterly review meeting with Pakistan on IMF loan programme would be held on December 19 and after staff-level approval of agreement with Pakistan, fresh amount of $550 million would be released.
