Parliament’s joint sitting or APC likely
ISLAMABAD: The government is seriously considering calling joint session of the parliament or an all-party conference (APC) to get the fresh mandate from all stakeholders over dealing with Tehrik e Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and other terrorist groups through peace talks or a military operation.
According to sources, the intelligence agencies have cautioned the government about more terror attacks on the law-enforcing agencies. Sources said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will take the nation in confidence and the future line of action would be decided after consulting all stakeholders including the PML-N.
Sources revealed that chances of joint session of parliament are brighter than the APC. The joint session of the parliament could be in-camera which would be attended by the chiefs of armed and intelligence forces.
