Inflation rate increases in first week of Ramadan 
Karachi: During the first ten days of the holy month of Ramadan in the country an increase of 8.3 percent was noted in the inflation rate comparing to previous year.

 According to the Bureau of Statistics for the low income class in the last week ended on 18 July, the sensitive price index was recorded with 0.8 percent reduction. During this week increase in the prices of wheat, flour, garlic, and Salt including seventeen other essential supplies was recorded. While reduction in the price of tomatoes, eggs, onion, red chili and Daal including fourteen other items was recorded. According to statistics milk powder, open ghee, petrol, diesel, tea, soap and mutton including 22 other consumer items showed stability in the prices.
