Skardu: Three Iranian mountaineers have been missing after an
incident during the expedition to climb the world's 12th highest peak
Broad Peak in Pakistan, ARY News reported on Sunday.
According to different sources, the incident took place while the team was on their way back from the summit. The mountaineers chose a newer and difficult way for their return, a climber informed the authorities about the incident via satellite phone some 2 days ago.
Sources said that the climbers are stuck at a height of 7000 meters while none of the climbers has been found during the Pak-Army's rescue operation ongoing for the past two days.
The ill-fated mountaineering team departed from Skardu on June 20 in a bid to reach the top of the Broad Peak.
