Presidential election completes in KPK, counting starts


PESHAWAR: The voting process in Khyber Pakthunkhwa Assembly to elect President of Pakistan for five years term was completed here on Tuesday.
A total of 110 votes were polled by the lawmakers of the KP Assembly in a free and transparent manner under secret balloting procedure. The counting of votes is continued and results would be announced shortly.
Chief Justice PHC Justice Dost Muhammad Khan is presiding officer for the polling, whereas Provincial Election Commissioner Sono Khan Baloch, Register PHC and Secretary KP Assembly are polling officers. The ANP and PPP lawmakers have boycotted the session and did not cast their votes.
