
Moscow: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) diverted its London-bound flight for an emergency landing at Moscow Airport due to technical glitch on Sunday, ARY News reported.
The flight had originated from Islamabad. Later, there was a malfunction occurred in the engine-1 of the plane; the aero plane was landed at the capital and the most populous federal subject city of Russia, Moscow Airport.
According to details, a PIA flight PK-785 left for Heathrow Airport London from Benazir Bhutto International Airport (BBIA) Islamabad at 10:00am (Pakistan's time) on Sunday and was scheduled to land in London at 02:30pm. There were more than 132 passengers on the plane.
Meanwhile, a PIA flight PK-701 left for Manchester has been also landed at Moscow Airport. The flight PK-701 will drop the passengers of London bound flight to Heathrow Airport London and afterwards the flight will leaves for Manchester.
On the other hand, the Boeing 777 aircraft of the national airline has been grounded at the Moscow airport and through alternative flight, engineers have been sent to Moscow Airport.
