Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) has shortlisted Syed Zaman Siddiqui, Sartaj Aziz and Mamnoon Hussain while Pakistan People's Party (PPP) nominated Senator Mian Raza Rabbani as its candidate for the forthcoming presidential election, this was announced at a news conference in Karachi, ARY News reported.
Speaking on the occasion‚ Raza Rabbani expressed gratitude to the party leadership and workers for nominating him as presidential candidate.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) has nominated Justice Wajihuddin Ahmed, a former member of Pakistan's higher judiciary. He also served as the Chief Justice of the Sindh High Court and then, as a judge of the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
Moreover, President Asif Ali Zardari is not participating in the forthcoming presidential election.
